GENERAL SUNRIVER BOTANICALS FAQ

Due to the genus of our CBD-rich hemp plants being Cannabis Sativa, it was not possible to receive an “organic certification” until 2019. Our growers adhere to organic growing principles and all of the ingredients used are of the finest organic quality.

No, our growers do not use pesticides or chemicals!

All of our dry flower and extracts are tested for potencies, pesticides and heavy metals.

Our full spectrum tinctures are an infusion of our phytocannabinoid-rich whole plant hemp extract and a base of the highest quality organic extra virgin medium-chain triglyceride oil derived solely from organic coconuts.

Our salves are made with our phytocannabinoid-rich whole plant hemp extract, the highest quality organic extra virgin coconut oil, organic beeswax, and organic lavender oil.

That is the extent of it. We make our products in small batches and we NEVER use any preservatives or artificial flavors. See our lab results.

Yes, all of our products are tested for quality and purity! The plants and products are tested a total of four times by multiple independent state certified laboratories. The testing process is as follows:

  1. Prior to harvesting, the Department of Agriculture performs a dry-flower potency test to assure the plants have a THC potency level BELOW 0.3%.
  2. After harvesting, the dried plants are tested for potency, pesticide residuals, heavy metals and for the existence of microbial contamination.
  3. At the completion of our whole plant CO2 and ethanol extraction process, we have a complete profile test on our high CBD extract oil.
  4. Finally, once all of the end products are made and bottled, they are batch tested to re-assure accuracy in potency labeling and that they are microbe-free.

For most users, yes.

Most Cannabis Sativa strains contain zero CBD and our strains contain close to zero THC. Rarely do any of our customers need to introduce more THC than what is contained in our products. CBD does not have psychotropic effects whereas THC may cause possible unwanted side effects.

If you prefer more THC however, we suggest using Sunriver Botanicals product along with a pure THC product and control your dose of each. We highly recommend that you take extremely small THC doses until you figure out your perfect amount.

Yes, it makes dosing much easier. Ease of dose is the quick-key to finding success with CBD.

All of our bottles have graduated glass pipettes measuring 1/4 ml, 1/2 ml, 3/4 ml and 1 ml. Every bottle has 30 ml in it, so a 600 mg is 20 mg/ml, 1,200 mg is 40 mg/ml, 1,800 mg is 60 mg/ml and 2,400 mg is 80 mg/ml.

This makes it extremely easy to dose 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, etc.

Certainly! We will be happy to recommend a product that will be right for you. Everyone’s body chemistry is different so there is no “one-size-fits-all” solution to figuring out proper dosing. Determining factors include: height, weight, diet and lifestyle. For a recommendation, contact us here.

GENERAL CBD FAQ

The most effective way to use our CBD tinctures is to place a couple drops under your tongue, allowing it to absorb into your system. That is, in general, the most effective CBD oil guide for consuming tinctures.

You will be able to tell that your CBD products are working when you begin to notice relief from your symptoms. This could take a few days or a few weeks depending on your symptoms and dosage.

CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-psychotropic cannabinoid (compound) found in the Cannabis Sativa plant. Orally and topically are the most effective applications in our experience.

All of the tinctures come with graduated glass pipette with 1/4 ml, 1/2 ml, 3/4 ml and 1 ml, so it is extremely easy to pinpoint the milligram intake you personally need. The key to making CBD effective is proper dosing.

Today it comes down to the THC levels in the cannabis plants. Higher or lower than 0.3% is the threshold. Below 0.3% THC is a hemp plant, and above 0.3% THC is a marijuana plant. In the past, hemp plants were male and marijuana plants were female, but now there are female hemp plants bred for CBD oil.

At the time of this writing, CBD is not tested in drug screenings. Our CBD oil contains <0.3% THC. As you take the products over the course of time, THC in your system may accumulate to levels that may become detectable.

Sunriver Botanicals offers broad spectrum THC-free tinctures to suit your profession and lifestyle. The mild-tasting tinctures are available in the same effective potencies: 600 mg, 1200 mg, 1800 mg and 2400 mg.

Our all-natural CBD salve is most commonly used for localized skin and muscle discomfort relief from aches, pains and tension.

Our CBD rich salve works on its own, but can certainly be used in conjunction with our CBD oils for maximum relief!

Yes, you may melt it down, add in additional essential oils and let settle in the freezer. However, Sunriver Botanicals’ CBD salves are scented with organic lavender oil and have a beautiful fragrance. If you are not sure how to properly melt it down, we suggest leaving it alone.

CBD OIL TINCTURES FAQS

The easiest way to find the correct dosage for yourself and/or your loved ones is to start with a half of the recommend dose and increase in increments of 1/4 ml until you find relief from your symptoms. You may also find it helpful to track your symptoms/dosage in your phone or calendar!

As always, call us for a free consultation to walk you through it.

During your free consultation, we could help you with a suggested dose. If you begin to notice an excessive amount of drowsiness and lethargy, then you may be using too much CBD oil. Next time, try scaling back by 1/4 ml.

CBD oil is not water soluble and may not perform effectively if added to a water-based drink. Keep in mind you will only be taking approximately a ml or less, so putting in a water-based drink would greatly dilute it. A simple solution is to take the CBD oil first and enjoy your coffee or tea on its own.

CBG OIL FAQs

Sunriver Botanicals CBG Oil 600 mg on a post in a park in Oregon.

Cannabigerol (CBG) is one of over a hundred cannabinoids found in hemp plants, though only in trace amounts in mature cannabis plants. Growers are working on making CBG-heavy strains due to promising research showing its potential effects in managing extreme symptoms. CBG is unique in that it binds to both cannabinoid receptors (found primarily in the central nervous system), offering a variety of benefits with little to no side effects. CBG users report that can helping to relieve muscle and/or joint pain and can possibly even help to lessen the psychotropic effects of THC.

While CBG and CBD may seem at first glance to offer the same benefits, there are key differences that make CBG uniquely beneficial. Both CBD and CBG share body relaxing properties and both are non-intoxicating, but CBG binds to both cannabinoid receptors, offering additional neurological benefits providing a well balanced mind and helping to relieve extreme symptoms. If you are seeking all-natural relief from more aggressive symptoms, you may find more benefit from either CBG alone or from adding CBG to your CBD treatment plan. Those looking to treat a more constant issue or big mood conditions will likely benefit most from adding CBG to their CBD regimen as CBG can extend the effects of other cannabinoids.

While CBG offers many great benefits on its own, it is a great complement to other cannabinoid products like CBD and THC because its steady release after ingestion offers longer-lasting benefits when paired with other cannabinoid products such as CBD or THC. CBG and CBD make a great duo when treating constant issues.

CBG is the common term for Cannabigerol.

Cannabigerol is one of many cannabinoids found in hemp plants and in trace amounts in mature cannabis plants.

Not to be confused with marijuana (a term that refers to parts of or products from cannabis plants that contain significant amounts of THC), CBG is non-psychoactive. This means that CBG will NOT cause you to feel the ‘high’ associated with marijuana use.
